It is Finally Happening!

Here is the latest update on the ambulance conversion. The new engine is here and ready for installation. This should take place this next week at D G Auto Repair. We want to send out a big thank to J.R. and his crew for all their effort to get us up and running.

There are so many to thank.

To Barnett Carpet for their donation. Our First Responders will now have a new wood vinyl floor to greet them as they step inside to get a drink or snack.

Mr. Scott Bowers whose skills with welding has repaired not only the running boards on the OSS truck but has also taken on the task of repairing the back step of the R&R unit.

To Noise Water Artwear for their work in making sure our shirts and emergency vests were exactly right and visible when we have calls at night.

Postal Annex Plus, and David, for their help with presentation material, copies, and anything else we came up with and needed at a moment’s notice.

These next thank you’ s are to the restaurants throughout the county who have helped us make sure that our First Responders are feed when an incident runs through a meal sometimes two. The first two have on several occasions stepped up at their own expense.

Schlotzsky’s who with a moments notice will drop everything to meet the needs of our First Responders.

McDonald’s who again put our First Responders first.

Alto Café who not only have supported our First Responders when in need but when this community was in trouble during the Little Bear Fire, they opened their doors to those who needed to be evacuated for a meal and a place to rest. Without saying a word they know when and how to serv their community

Subway

Smokey Bear Restaurant in Capitan

Four Winds Restaurant in Carrizozo

This last thank you goes out to an incredibly special person and business who has befriended On Scene Support for the last several years. She and her business have created the new image you see today. In addition to making sure that anything sent out by OSS is not only correct but extremely eye catching. It is thanks to her that we have the decals and lettering for the R&R unit. Which will be installed in the next few weeks. Our extreme gratitude goes out to Price Point Creative and Laura Reynolds.

I am sure, that there are many more that I have forgotten and also those who are yet to be. Please know that we do appreciate each and every one of you.

Should you like to show your appreciation to these people and businesses, the best way is to give them your business.

Now for the big news! We have set a date for the dedication of the R&R unit. My next posting will be the invitation to that event.

Please stay tuned!
